Day One Journal: Private Diary - Latest Quality Issues

I have been happily using this app for several years. When recently browsing previous years entries, I noticed pictures removed and replaced with a black square and a number. I have now discovered a requirement to pay £22 for unlimited pictures. My pictures appear to have been deleted and only the words for the entry remain. I realise a business needs to make money, but deleting my pictures without notifying me first is not the way to encourage me to pay. Goodbye.

Great app, company should update App Store pricing
I've been a user since the beginning, and really love the app for many reasons, including that they had a monthly subscription available. However, once automattic took over, the monthly subscription was removed from the app, even though it shows in the App Store. It would be great if, at the yearly price, users would also get a subscription to Wordpress.com as an added incentive.

Compared to its iOS counterpart — the 'premium' Android version is unbelievably poor. It should look and function exactly the same as Day One on iOS, however, there are so many features that are missing on Android. For example, you can't even copy one journal to another like you can on the iOS version. Adding photos and video just looks a mess, & the heading fonts don't look the same: Heading 5, for example, looks completely different between the two platforms. A real shame. So Disappointing!

Support leaves much to be desired
After a few years, I have now switched from Basic to Premium. However, unlike my iPhone, my iPad doesn't recognize this change except the profile. German message: "Something went wrong while processing your payment. Please try again or contact Day One Support." I contacted him (with screenshots of the problem) and received a standardized answer in English, which does not address my problem at all.

Beware of the security of this app
I have been a user of Day One since its first versions but I am seriously considering leaving it: we are in 2023 and it does not have two-step verification (2FA). With which, anyone who accesses your credentials, has access to everything you have written and uploaded, and we are talking about a personal diary. They argue that the data is encrypted but that is useless if you do not have the 2FA layer. I find it incredible that the app that most needs protection (because of the information that is stored), does not have 2FA, already mandatory in many services.

It is fine, but it is much more developed in ios. The price is somewhat high.
