Unusable lately. My go to app for the longest but lately none of my podcasts will load. Even on gigabit wifi. Useless

When it works, Google Podcasts is very good, being intuitive and convenient. The problem is that the home screen, where your new episodes show up, often fails to load. No amount of restarting the app or phone helps nor does clearing cache. That seriously limits utility is the app until it starts working again. Note that I run stock Android, fully updated, on a Pixel 4a.

It's closing by itself when I try to perform actions in the app

Problems to be solved
The app freezes all the time now. It's not a crash but at some point it freezes and says "playback error". In addition, if you close the app and want to resume an episode from where you left off is impossible, restart the content from scratch.

Using it with an Android car is terrible. Very violently, he puts all the voices behind him. Even using volume control, casenzis switch to the podcast. Ytmusic can't be used next to it either.
