Really stupid for international payments. Can't do online. Have to be via app and the idiots keep issuing multiple codes via text to the same phone you are trying to make payment from. Very long winded and frustrating.

Improvement needed
This is not the same as other banking app , making payments (when it works ) is difficult because there's no recollection of reference, you have to start from the beginning each new payment and on occasion the systems are down and you can't make payments at all. Overall the IT at metro is not half as impressive as the customer service. What a shame.

Few features, does the job. Every other banking app allows for you to easily pull statements and send them to your email. I don't understand why this needs to be done through the website which has far too many authentication steps to be a quick job. Please add this feature

Authentication doesn’t work
When I order something online. They tell me to authenticate using the Metro app. When I go to the Metro app to authenticate, the app says there's nothing to authenticate! This is a problem…

Registration - Getting Started
Whether you’re an existing or new Metro Bank customer it’s simple to get started.
- If you’re registered for online and telephone banking, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number, 8 digit security number and your password
- If you’re not registered for either, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number and the details of the card you used most recently or your Magic Word.

Metro Bank’s mobile app is available for Personal customers and also Business customers if they’re using Business Internet Banking only.
