MyPlate Calorie Counter - Latest Quality Issues

Extremely confusing calorie counter.
This app has great potential but the countless threads on Reddit and other forums identifies a huge issue: The calorie counter is not intuitive. You have two of them, the progress bar up top saying how many calories are left and the net calories number below. Net Calories should generally be negative if you have a calorie deficit but you have to literally starve yourself to be in the negative on this app (and one of their documents states not to go negative). This is terribly unintuitive and I don't even know if I have it right because there's no good explanation of this number. The “calories left” bar doesn't make sense either because if you change your weight or goals in your profile this bar doesn't update. So which number are you supposed to hit? Something indicating your goal number would be great.

I was really excited about this app and bought gold membership immediately on sign-up. When I had a question, the customer service team told me to read the help menu myself and if I still had that question to get back to them. That's the worst customer service approach I've ever received. Just sayin…. I canceled my subscription, regretted my purchase, and chalked it up to a learning experience.If I could give them less than one I would.

The user interface has several major bugs that make it frustrating to use compared to other meal trackers. For instance, when you enter a number of servings eaten, the keyboard does not close out automatically, so you have to manually close it in order to proceed. Very close to a polished product but it's just too time consuming to do any basic logging steps.

Great app, add portion options
Great app for food tracking but please, PLEASE add a gram option on all the food portions, it would take a lot of guesswork out of logging meals. A small minority of the foods I consume have the option for grams and instead there are a lot of undefined servings and cups.

So far it's ok. However I am constantly getting a notification about a billing error. I am using the free version so there should be no billing errors. I've seen other users with the same issue so hoping it's an easy fix

Portions
Need to have more options re sizes. When I make a salad, I don't add 1 cup of green peppers and broccoli, etc, rather 2 oz. Should show different cup and I eat Ritz crackers- you only show 1 cracker without being able to increase the number

Great App used before. Using again to get to my healthy weight. Only thing its a glitch in the scanner. It not working properly. It say can't find item but when I manually type it, its listed or won't scan the barcode at all.
