OfferUp sends notifications so you access the app. They do it so we open the app thinking someone is inquiring on an item for sale. Unfortunately too many of them are just from OfferUp but you accessed the app and that counts as another daily user of OfferUp. Wish we had an option to mute notifications from OfferUp as they are useless

I have completely gotten rid of OfferUp! Deleted my account. 2/2/23 update: I have used OfferUp for the last time. One of their sellers sold me a busted tablet and neither the seller or OfferUp is getting back to me. OfferUp has gone full money grab mode. I will NOT use a selling platform that lets fraud happen to their users without resolution and this is what OfferUp is now. Their “buyer protection” is non existent. What a joke. 1/16 update: I'm only back here to report that now you scroll while your finger is on an ad! Really? I thought my phone was broken but no, it's just OfferUp being money hungry again. I literally have to put my finger above or under the ad (the ad takes up 3/4 of the screen) to scroll past it. Oh, and what's the point keeping posts that are 3 years old? Quality over quantity! 11/27 update: This app is still a money grubbing mess. Search results will haunt you until you search for something else. I have my settings to show me “newest first” and somehow I'm getting results from over a year ago. Really?? A year ago???!!! This app is a total money grab. I don't even sell on it anymore because I'll only get little in return after fees. I've tried to purchase items only for it to timeout because of deadbeat sellers. I now consider the developers deadbeats also because they are not listening to their users! This app USED to be good now it's just garbage. 1. get rid of dead beat sellers 2. stop rigging the search results. 3. stop with the job listings! 4. Remove the delay from tapping on the search bar 5. Removed listings older than 6 months!!! 6. Stop making the ads super sensitive! 7. Better yet, remove the ads! OfferUp already takes to much from the sellers. I've really grown to hate this app. The searches aren't true. They force items into your face that you don't want. This is not a job searching app!!!!

I put some stuff up for sale before a trip overseas and got rid of anything that didn't sell before I left. Planned to mark it all as sold once I got here, but turns out account access is blocked outside of the US. Both from the app and web. I just want to stop the 4-5 notifications per day asking about my stuff. But I can't even reach their customer support because that information is listed on a support page which is also blocked. App worked well when I was actually able to use it.

Got the app, listed sports equipment, got no offers. Then OfferUp sent me an email that I violated some policy, no idea what. I could contest them kicking me off the app and apparently blacklisting me as well, but that seemed ridiculous use of my time. Will not be using this again after this experience, I rather donate.

Never using this again. With over 800+ sales you would think I would be taken care of with "seller protection". Nope! Because my post office didn't scan a shipment in the time frame of offer up. They cancelled my sale. But left the shipping label scannable. Due to weather conditions I would think the "support team" would have been more helpful and accommodating. No! So because this buyer got a free expensive rare item. I'm done with this scam filled app. Always gave em the benefit of the doubt.

My account got disabled for no reason good 5 Stars and ID verified. Now I have no access to it.

Latest update won't allow me to view my saved searches.

Nobody actually runs this site?? 60 to 70% of the sellers are too lazy to respond and follow through on a transaction and there's no repercussions from the administration of the site? This is way way worse than eBay. Buyer beware. You have a very high percentage of not even being able to communicate with a seller let alone get the item for the price the seller is asking. Plus over half the items on here never sell for years and even when it does the seller is too lazy to unlisted it. What a joke
