Palm Springs Airport Avis
Worst rental car experience of my life, 2nd worst at Avis. You wait in two lines. One to check in, the other to pick up your key. Virtually every other Avis has separate Preferred and regular counters. Also, if you're preferred, they just list your name on a board with your stall number. Not here. There's also confusion about whether you can skip the check in line and just get your paperwork and key at the same time. Still undetermined whether that is possible. From talking by with others in line, this volume of people is unusual but Avis should have an idea of how many reservations they have and how to staff accordingly. There's also no signage directing people on what to do, where to go, etc. Pretty awful.

Unfortunate app experience
Downloaded app to move through the glacial-paced line at Reno airport. App would not let me go to pick up my car, despite promoting such, even with my reservation and pre-check complete. This is why people use Turo!

Unable to login
App keep throwing error that maximum number of codes have been attempted. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still no use. Crappy experience

Avis is striving to be the worst car rental company possible. At airports that require shuttles, I regularly see 10 National and 6 Hertz shuttles go by before an Avis shuttle. At airports where you walk to the cars, they frequently force you to stand in line for ~45+ minutes because the app almost never works. And in my personal experience, the vehicle I booked is only available 20% of the time.

HAAAAAATE!!!!!
Both AVIS and BUDGET apps need serious work. Not easy to use. The only success I have had is in getting myself locked out of each more than once. For huge, national businesses to force long-time users to reset passwords every time use is attempted makes no sense. Incredibly frustrating.

App does not work. Cannot log in as it does not recognize the password it had me create and then replace. Useless.

Please fix your app
I keep getting an error that I will be locked out of my account if I don't change my password. I have tried to change my password at least 10 different times on 3 different days, and I keep getting the same pop up that I can't use a password that I have already used. None of the passwords were the same, or even close. I shouldn't have to keep doing this. I have since cancelled my reservation for this week, and rescheduled thru Enterprise. Being that Avis has always been my go to for renting cars for business and personal trips, I hope this is fixed for my next trip after this one so that I can go back to using my favorite car rental company.
