BECU | unitQ Score

I haven't been able to log on for a couple of weeks. I receive “forbidden” when I try to log on. I've contacted them twice and all I've been told is that they're aware of the issue but it's not fixed. I can bank via the website but I'm not understanding the lack of urgency in fixing the app.

Hard to imagine a worse app. Secure messaging hasnt worked for at least four years. My credit cards stopped showing all activity many weeks ago (but shows on the website). No reply from BECU no matter what method of contact I use. If you look at reviews everywhere else they are consistently horrible. How is it that Apple has great reviews? UPDATE: ONLY after leaving this review did BECU finally reply to me. Within hours they fixed the problem, which wasn't the app or iPhone, it was BECU. Thank you for that. I'll add a star or two, but only grudgingly. No doubt the future holds new and harrowing nightmares with BECU but, heck, let's wait and see.

Unable to link my account to my Rocket Money app. I've been trying for over a month with no success.

I have not seen a single transaction from my BECU Credit Card for three weeks and it is impossible now for me to verify actual transactions on that credit card. I have contacted member services and they tell me to login to the main website for that activity. Therefore the app is defective and needs to be fixed. Prior to this instability issue, my credit card transaction history disappeared for weeks until I communicated the problem.

"User is locked." What does that mean? I'm no longer allowed to make transfers with my own money?

I was excited to see they finally updated to fix the bug that made the app useless on iOS…except turns out it's still broken. Even deleting and reinstalling the app did nothing. It's honestly embarrassing at this point.

BECU is now declining a $15 charge from a biz it has accepted previously, to merely top up a phone. Ok, so the deal is you call them at the number on the back of the card and you jump thru endless menu options that largely make no sense and maybe after half an hour you are connected to a human and they fix it and you're good to go. Not anymore! Trying to top up my normal phone account and declined, so I resigned myself to go through the insanity, and I did. But guess what happens now? The recording says you can only contact BECU using the number on the back of the card during certain hours. So you try that three or four times thinking surely that can't be right. But that's as far as you get. But they do say if your card is lost or stolen you can hit 9 and get transferred to a human. My card is not lost or stolen but I decide to try it anyway because I need the charge to go thru. Now guess what you get when you hit 9? Yet another recording saying you can't even report your card stolen except during certain hours. So if you just got mugged the thieves have maybe 16 hours to run around and use your card. This is insanity. Go watch the movie Idiocracy. It's no longer a farcical flick. We are living it in real time now. One star. BECU is clearly as crazy as the Mad Hatter. It's mind boggling.
