Too bad, would have liked to take out a subscription. But already at the registration I am addressed with "new customer" and "user" (!). Shocking! The gender asterisk is a political symbol of recognition for climate fascists, left-wing extremists, Antifa and opponents of democracy. That something like this is legal here in the store - that's worse than AFD and Nazis. I don't support that and neither should you. Away with it.

Tried to activate the account and said my card was declined even though I have enough money and it was for the free trial anyway. Now it won't let me use any card or PayPal. I really want to use this and I just can't this is ridiculous

Bookbeat, Skoobe and Nextory (who wins?)
After Deezer Audiobooks has been dropped, I am looking for an alternative. That could be RTL+ Audio. But I also wanted to give the above three audiobook apps a chance. An important criterion is car play. Furthermore, the app must remember the last position of several audiobooks. It would be nice if you can adjust the bitrate. Downloads, i.e. offline listening (e.g. on the plane) must also be. Nextory and RTL+ don't have Car Play, so they're actually out. I'm testing Bookbeat from now on. The limitation to 200 hours per month is certainly only important in theory. Nevertheless, the other competitors offer infinite, i.e. as many hours as there are in the respective month, i.e. about 720. The four stars are an advance at the moment.

I am absolutely disappointed with the selection. Found practically none of my favorite authors. Since Spotify has partly more audiobooks to choose from....

Too bad that I am now suddenly limited to 150 hours with the premium account. Before, it was a great app. But that really cuts in.

Great, just missing few things! Audio Books should be in chapters, not tracks. Tracks are from CDs in old days (seen in Danish version of books). It should be possible to make bookmarks. Short clips, and Share them with friends. This would also be a good commercial for BoolBeat.

The menu navigation is a bit cumbersome. Due advertised slumber fznktion I still have not found and the app calculates the heard hours you somehow differently than I understand the description. But the selection is good.
