I just want to turn the annoying loud BABLOOP sound off my wonderboom and UE appear to have made this impossible :(

Doesn't work. Super buggy and frustrating

I have had 2 megaboom speakers for over 7 years now, and some years due to the fact that I have other speakers, I don't use these, or I may use them less than 10 times in the entire year. With that said, I constantly make sure that they are charged up so that upon next use their ready to go (or I thought). Yet it literally never fails; every time I turn the speakers on after being fully charged, whether it be a week from then, or months, within seconds, they tell me “critical battery please charge.” Now for any of you possibly thinking, it may be due to the fact that I've had the speakers for years, I will note that the complication I am referring to happened right around the time where the warranty on both speakers ended, which was a little over a year after owning them. Even if I had gotten the speakers replaced through warranty, I don't think the inevitable would've been avoided, and I say that because thousands of other reviews online prove that it is not a coincidence that the speakers batteries drain literally when not in use. I have older megaboom models and even the newer models I have read reviews on do the same. I was thinking about purchasing newer models to avoid this issue, but it is very obvious that Ultimate Ears would rather scam people out of money then give them quality product that was actually built to last. These megabooms retail over $200 US. That is disgusting. I own speakers from Sony and Bose that have lasted much longer and still work flawlessly. The speakers also have problems connecting to the app quite often. For you to get the full experience from the speakers, you are required to download this atrocity of an app. Be prepared to have constant connection issues and be prepared for your speaker to literally disconnect from the app for absolutely no rhyme or reason, at any given time. I will say that before the app came out (many years ago now), the speakers didn't seem to have extreme drainage issues, but almost immediately after using the app they did. It also is very strange that the app brings “software updates” to the speakers which leads me to believe that that is where the battery drainage occurs. I believe there is some sort of connection that happens between the speakers and the app, that is directly related to the battery drainage. I also think the software updates are what keeps a solid connection between the app and the speakers to continue to bog down the batteries inside those speakers until they are completely useless, paper weights. It is literal common sense that if batteries drain that consistently it's only a matter of time before you end up with bricks. I guess they're sick goal is to try to get people to continuously buy their crap product. I bought these for vacations, road trips, days at the park or the beach, hosting get-togethers or parties at my house, random music, listening for relaxation purposes, to clean etc. . Turning on speakers, and having them be stone dead when you charged them full even 2 weeks prior, during any of those experiences is enough to infuriate you. Do not waste your money on this company's products. You've been warned.

Do not use this app to set your speakers as an alarm clock. The app seems to have a mind of its own going off at the right time whenever it feels like it. If you want the alarm capability you are better off purchasing another device. Aside from issues with the in app alarm I have never had an issue with a UE speaker. It's just such a flaw I can't ignore.

Why is the Wonderboom 3 not supported? If you are releasing new versions of your speakers, your app should be kept inline.

The speakers are great but trying to connect multiple speakers together on the app is so difficult. They often disconnect randomly and it's so difficult to re-connect them back together.

When it was called Block Party, the app was even better. Meanwhile, there has been no update of the app for over 2 years. I have the UE Boom 2 and a friend has the UE Boom 3 and when pairing via the app, there are dropouts via the app

Not one to write a review, but UE ought to consider revamping their BOOM app. I have 1 Hyper Boom and 2 Mega Booms. The overall functions and performance of the BOOM app needs to be tweaked and adjusted. Finding a device, pairing, determining which speaker is the main hub, etc. Overall, I really like the speakers I have! HB and both MB's sound great after years of use. This app is just plain clunky and awkward.
