Delivery drivers lie

DPD usually give you a time slot to expect delivery. This time, no email nothing. No parcel activity showing on app. Put in calling card number and up pops the parcel and my request to have it delivered to safe place on next attempt. Other couriers let you nominate your safe place once and use this if you aren't in. DPD doesn't seem to be doing this.

Very poor service
Paid for Saturday delivery as I have a family member in hospital having heart surgery on Monday, had another family member wait in all day for a timed delivery that didn't happen. The tracking number and app gave no helpful information after the timed delivery failed. Couldn't contact DPD as the office closes at 4pm on a Saturday. Had to ring EE and spend 30 minutes on hold on two separate occasions but they could give me any further help. Then after 6pm at night the tracking information updated to say the driver couldn't leave it anywhere safe! No attempt at delivery, no information except George was running a “little late” this is still after 5 hours. Still no idea if the new iPhone will be delivered at all. Will have to wait another full week as I'm out the house 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday so can only look forward to the same shame of a debacle next weekend!

App said driver was 6 drops from me. He arrived 2 minutes later and waited 17 seconds before departing. I couldn't get to the door in time.

Only works if I turn off my wifi and use mobile data. Doesn't work anymore.

Innacurate times given in the app caused me to miss important deliveries. I paid a substantial premium for weekend delivery and in return the driver must have gently caressed my door whilst the app said he's still 2 stops away. Then I'm told that there's no way to get my item until tomorrow. Farcical app. Farcical service. The developers must not know how to do such things as responsive UI design. Scaling is awful Gets 2 stars because the functionality to tell me that they failed to deliver.

Useless app. Just give the driver clear instructions, he left in elsewhere. When tried to report it the app lags. Not reliable as company.

Tracking ID PHONE_REMOVED My post code is HG32LB You had a parcel ordered through Amazon which should have been delivered today. Your driver came to my house, didn't knock or call and ignored a very large sign showing where to drop parcel in a safe place. You are now supposed to be delivering on Monday. I waited in all day expecting this delivery and am very disappointed that DPD have let me down so badly. I suggest that you employ drivers who can read English and know how to knock on a door or ring a doorbell. Stephen Vaughan PHONE_REMOVED
DPD - Product Description
The DPD app lets you arrange the best possible delivery experience. Just tell us how and where to deliver from the range of options available and we’ll do the rest. 

Personal delivery preferences - if you’re not going to be in, you can use the DPD app to make sure you can still receive your parcels.  Tell us to deliver straight to your chosen DPD Pickup location or, to your chosen neighbour or safe place.  You select your preferences and we’ll make sure we follow your instructions every time!

30-minute delivery alerts - we don’t want you to wait in all day so with all your DPD deliveries, we’ll let you know in advance when to expect delivery and when we are just 30 minutes away. 

Active and previous deliveries - using your DPD app you can see a list of current deliveries and track when your parcels will be with you. When we’ve delivered to your chosen safe place we’ll even send you photos of your parcel in that location for added peace of mind you.

Multiple addresses - set your work, home, or even family member’s address preference, so you can tailor your delivery experience and still get your deliveries, wherever you are in the UK.

Driver tracking - see the name and a picture of your driver or why not track their location and find out where you are in the delivery queue. See your driver's estimated arrival time so you know when to expect your parcel.

In flight options - when we’re on our way to you, if your plans change you can still rearrange your delivery right up until we deliver your parcel. You can instruct our driver to deliver on a different day, to a preferred neighbour, to a safe place or even to one of our 2,500 DPD Pickup shops.

Pickup shops - if you’re collecting your parcel from a nearby DPD Pickup shop, get opening hours, your pickup pass for collection and directions from your delivery address.
