Re-entering info
I get tired of retyping info for a search. I search, I look, and when I want to add or change a detail in the search for better results, when I click back, I have to start all over again. Ugh! I am disappointed with emails about “new details” yet I already had these details on my tree. Guess they're just reading my tree back to me. I don't particularly like when others working on their tree, then the app adds people to my tree that I never heard of. And if they've made an error, its now on my tree. Ask me if I want those people added, instead of “who's that” on my tree.

Family Search is a mess and inaccurate!!!!!
“Every time” I go into Family Search (FS) I find my factual genealogy has been missed up. Family Search has no right to allow such false information to appear factual or to accept such false information. I have turned in corrections several times only to have it later deleted or changed without justification Or never entered. I have observed miss connections to the wrong siblings. It just goes on and on. Family Search is the poorest representation of the true Church and is a poor tool to depend on for salvation of our ancestors!! There is no use or value in presenting facts or information if Family Search is just going to mess it up or change it without notification. The only hope I see for Family Search to be factual is to connect to a service like Ancestry and allow an owners personal accounts to be connected and the sharing of documentation and information. Frankly it makes no sense for Family Search to be such a poor and inaccurate genealogy program. I have never experienced a worse program than Family Search. If I wasn't certain the Gospel is true and it is the designated program for taking names to the temple, I wouldn't waste my time or efforts with Family Search. I am sure there is no more accuracy in the submission of names for temple work as there is in documenting names and genealogy. I have been told that the person with the best documentation is established as facts. That can't be true because the information I have submitted has been verified factual or it wasn't documented and submitted. In Ancestry there are documents that back up each individual and connections. There are even hints that assist in assuring the person is who you think they are and connects are correct. I have submitted all the information with backup documents. But Family Search allows changes. What a mess! I have worked with several Family History reps and not one of them thinks Family Search is a functional tool for genealogy. They all recommend using another program to document and back up genealogy. The Church has the resources to solve theses issues so why are they not investing in solutions? There are several functional genealogy programs available that would help if Family Search would follow or create a similar process. It is time to rethink the Family Search process because it is counterproductive to the goals of the Gospel/Church and intended purpose. I have been working on my genealogy since I was 16. It was very challenging but I stayed at it until I began to have to deal with Family Search. It is frustrating and discouraging to have your hard work and time wasted as Family Search has mine.

Don’t waste your time.
It won't let you update info after you've already saved. And don't try deleting your account. It won't let you.
